COMMUNITY Dell Rapids Tribune Wednesday, April 25, 2012 5A Class 02012 Senior Spotlight April Erdman Dell Rapids High School HaileyVanEck Baltic High School Jason Michel St. Mary High School While at Baltic High School, Hailey has spent time playing volleyball and has made the merit and honor rolls. She spends spare time volunteering at Terrace Manor and enjoys art, snowmobiling and jet-skiing. She plans study to become an LPN at Southeast Technical Institute. Jason's honors while at St.

Mary include Academic All-State, four years on the honor roll, all-conference football and basketball and the 2011-12 Homecoming king. In his spare time, he officiates baseball and Softball and works with the Catholic Order of Foresters. He plans to attend Dakota State to study math education. While at Dells High, April has been involved in NHS and been on the honor roll. She was also the People to People Student Ambassador and a YBA participant in 201 1.

She plans to attend a four-year school to study nursing, on her way to working with the U.S. Army and eventually a children's hospital or O.R. April hopes to some day run for state representative. He plans to attend Dakota State University to study education and eventually become a physical education or art teacher. Jonathan has been named Student of the Month, as well as the Coach's Award winner in track and cross country during his time at St. Mary. He has helped out with summer camps and the St. Mary Carnival Bazaar.

He enjoys running and playing X-Box. Jonathan plans on attending Dakota State to study network security. While at Baltic, Samantha has been an honor roll student, and was recognized as Student of the Month and as a 2012 South Dakota legislative page. She has spent time volunteering in flood relief efforts and was a People to People Student Ambassador. Samantha plans to attend college to study international business and global relations.
