87, resident of White Lake, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2002. at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell. Services will be Wednesday, 10:30 AM at the Trinity Lutheran Church in White Lake. Burial will be in the White Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7-9PM Tuesday evening with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Bittner Funeral Chapel. A Memorial Fund has been established. David Sponheim Jasper, MN David Sponheim, age 55, of Jasper, died Friday at Methodist Hospital in Rochester, Minnesota. He is survived by his wife lewyll, of Jasper; his mother Kathleen Sponheim of Jasper; and one brother, Joe and his wife Sharon Sponheim of Cold Spring, MN. Funeral service will be Monday at 2 PM at the Jasper Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jasper, MN.

Burial will be in the Jasper City Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Fos-ter-Hartouist Funeral Home in Jasper in in charge of the arrangements. Hollis M.Hill DeSmet Hollis M. Hill, age 93, of DeSmet died on May 24, 2002 at the DeSmet Hospital.

Services have been set for 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at the United Church of Christ in DeSmet with the Rev. Gail Arnold and Rev. Sylvester Unruh officiating. Burial will follow in the DeSmet Cemetery.

Visitation will be from P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday evening, May 28, 02 at the Osthus Funeral Home in DeSmet. Survivors are his wife Isabelle of DeSmet, and several other relatives and friends. Marvin Hooker Mitchell Marvin Hooker, 76, resident of Mitchell, passed away Saturday, May 25, 2002, at the Wilson Estates in Mitchell under hospice care.

Services will be Wednesday, 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church in Mitchell. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Park in Mitchell. Visitation will be from 7-9PM Tuesday evening with Masonic Services at 7:30 PM at the Bittner Funeral Chapel in Mitchell. Steve Stensland Spencer. LA Steve Stensland, 49, formerly of Canton, died Saturday, May 25, at a Spencer Hospital due to a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM Tuesday, May 28, at Grand Valley Lutheran Church near Canton. Burial will be at Forest Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are pending with Anderson Funeral Home in Canton. Milford Soward Sioux Falls Milford Soward, 508 Warner Brothers Place, died May 24, 2002, at Sioux Valley Hospice Cottage. He was 68.

On July 15, 1952, he began his career at the South Dakota Air National Guard in the Motor Pool division. He retired on May 1, 1986, after 34 years. Following his retirement, he owned and operated Soward Repair, an auto repair and starting service. Grateful for having shared his life are his sons, Bob Soward. Sioux Falls.

Sarah Soward, Sioux Falls, SD, three brothers, Eldon Soward and his wife, Peggy, Lake Preston, SD, James Soward, Los Angles, CA, and Edward Soward and his wife, LaVonne, Sioux Falls," SD. His brother. William, preceded him in death. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, at Miller Funeral Home, 13th and Main Avenue.

Interment will be at Wood-lawn Cemetery. Visitation for Mr. Soward begins at noon, Tuesday. The family will be present to greet friends from 7:00 to 8:00 pm. Tuesday.

Marion D. Inberg Sioux Falls Marion D. Inberg, 72, died Friday, May 24, 2002 at Good Samaritan Luther Manor in Sioux Falls. Marion was born August 30, 1929 to Fred and Hannah (Jensen) Soren-son in Beresford, SD. She graduated from high school in Beresford.

In 1949, Marion married Edsel F. Inberg. She was a homemaker. The couple divorced in 1986. Marion became a resident of Good Samaritan Center of Sioux Falls in 1994, and then moved to Good Samaritan Luther Manor in 1996.

The family greatly appreciates the kindness and care that Marion received at the two facilities. Marion is survived by one son: Steve B. Inberg and daughter-in-law: Pam. and their children: Dana and Brandon, all of Ft. Collins, CO; one daughter: Debbie McKevitt and son-in-law: Jerry of Roswell, GA; and one sister: Evelyn lacobson of Omaha, NE.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Dana. Funeral Services will be held Thursday the 30th, 2 PM, at Barnett-Lewis Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hills of Rest Memorial Park. NadineWynia Springfield Nadine Wynia, 101, of Springfield, died Saturday, May 25, 2002 at the Springfield Assisted Living Center in Springfield. SD.

Her funeral service is scheduled for 1:30 pm Wednesday, May 29, 2002 at the Emanuel Reformed Church in Springfield. Burial will be in the Emanuel Cemetery, rural Springfield. Visitation will be at the Cros-by-laeger Funeral Home in Springfield from 1 1 :00 am to 7:00 pm Tuesday, followed by a prayer service. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 9:00 am to 12 noon. Simon, age 83, died at Beverly Health Care Center in Madison on May 25, 2002. Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday at Thomas Aouinas Church in Madison with Rev. Robert Vinslauski officiating. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. There will be a Parish Scripture Service at 7:30 pm on Monday at the Weiland Funeral Chapel, Madison, which is in charge of the Memorial Home in Marion, SD.

Luella Luden was born on March 15, 1922 at Chancellor. SD. Married Albert Schulte on Jan. 28. 1946 at Parker, SD.

They farmed near Parker. They moved into Parker in 1980 where they worked as the custodians at the Turner County Courthouse until 1986. Her husband died in 1996. She has been a resident of the Tieszen Home since 2000. Survivors include a son Ronnie, Parker; a daughter, Paula Edwards, Ellsworth, KS; 3 grandsons, Jason, Eric, and Brian; and 2 sisters, Madeline Kramer, Lennox and Fern Jones.

Mitchell. Funeral services will beat Tuesday at the Hofmeister-Jones Funeral Home in Parker with burial in the Rosehill Cemetery. Parker. Visitation will begin on Monday at the funeral home. Patrick Cypher Sioux Falls- Patrick Cypher, 52, 4604 W.

Oleanna died unex pectedly of a heart attack on Wednesday, May 22, in Pennsylvania. Survivors include his wife, Melanie; 2 sons, Robert Cypher, Salem, SD, Shaun Cypher, Sioux Falls; I daughter, Jaimee Cypher, Sioux Falls; I granddaughter, Harlie Cypher, Salem; 2 grandsons, Carson Cypher, Salem, Hayden Cypher, Sioux Falls; his mother, Mary Cypher, Hazel, SD; and several brothers and sisters. Services will be 10 AM Tuesday, May 28 at First Southern Baptist Church, with burial at Webster Cemetery, Webster, SD. Blindauer Letcher Richard G. Blindauer, 78, of Letcher, died Saturday May 25, 2002. Funeral services will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial at the American Legion Cemetery in Mitchell, SD. I' I iili 4 2002 at Avera McKennan Hospital resulting from complications of a head injury. Helen Snyders was born on May 7, 1930 at Larchwood, Iowa Frank and Nellie (Jensen) Snyders. She graduated from St. Mary's High School in Larchwood in 1947. On September 13.

1949 she married John Mitchell. They lived in Sioux Falls where she was employed with Shrivers Department Store in the accounting department. Her husband John was killed in a transport accident on October 12, 1962. On August 1964 she married Marvin Dains. They lived in Marion where she did the accounting for the family buiness until their retirement.

After retirement they split time between Marion and Mesa, AZ. She enjoyed golf, tennis, Softball, fishing, sewing, and spending as much time as possible with her daughter, husband, and grandchildren. Member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and Par-Mar Valley Country Club. Grateful for having shared her Ifie are her husband Marvin; a daughter Patricia Drake and her husband Timothy, SD; grandson Christopher Drake, Big Sky, Montana; a granddaughter, Cariann Drake, Mitchell; 5 sisters, Mary Honbrath, Rita Clark, and Julie Roman, all of Larchwood, Monica Weber and Irene Daniels, both of Sioux Falls! and 2 brothers, Paul Snyders, Larchwood and Matt Snyders, Mesa, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband John, parents, and 2 brothers, oe and Francis. Funeral Mass will be at Tuesday, May 28th at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Marion. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Larchwopd.

Alice Faye LeMar Sioux Falls Alice LeMar, 47, of 412 W. Bailey, died Thursday at Sioux Valley Hospital; Alice Faye LeMar was born December 12. I9S4 in Sioux Falls, SD.

She grew up in Sioux Falls where she attended Washington High School. Alice was a homemaker and daycare provider. She married Pierre Barnabe on March 6. 1998 in Sioux Falls. Alice attended East Side Baptist Church in Sioux Falls.

She loved her family, and raising her children was a priority. Alice enjoyed gardening and taking care of her home. She liked visitors and entertaining company. Surviving relatives include her son, James Goodrich and her daughter, Michelle Goodrich, both of Sioux Falls; her parents, Philip and Agnes LeMar of Sioux Falls; her sisters, Marcia Banks of Sioux Falls, Rose Morris of Colorado Springs, CO, and Inez Shapiro of Bend, OR; and other family the Hoyer Hon-omichl family, the Wilson family, Karen Griffin, and a very close friend, Dodie lohnson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gordon LeMar, in 1985.

Services will be held 10:00 am Tuesday at Miller Funeral Home, Main Avenue location. Interment will be in Hills of Rest. Visitation begins at 2:00 pm Monday with the family present to greet friends from 2:00 to 4:00 pm on Monday. George D.Schmidt Colman George D. Schmidt, 90, died May 24, 2002 at the Flan-dreau Hospital in Flandreau.

Mass of Christian Burial will be May 29, 2002, 10:30 AM at St. Peter Catholic Church in Colman with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dell Rapids. Visitation beginning at 3:00 PM Tuesday with a 3:00 PM Catholic Daughter Rosary and a 7:30 PM Scripture Service all at Skroch Funeral Chapel, Colman. Bill was born August 27. 1943 in Hudson, SD to Mary Teresa (Nieles) and Leo Kappenman. He graduated from O'Gorman High School in 1962. He married Lois Linder in Watertown, SD January 29, 1971. He graduated from Sioux Falls College in 1976 and received his Masters Degree in 1989 from South Dakota State University.

Bill worked as a teacher and coach for 25years. At the time of his death he was teaching in the Crow Creek School System. Bill was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was an avid NASCAR racing fan. He is survived by his wife Lois, I daughter Tobi Baker and her husband Michael of Sioux Falls, 3 sons Sean of Sioux Falls, Cuyler and fiance Melissa of Menomonic, Wl, Morgan of Sioux Falls and a special son Daniel Casper of Minneapolis, MN, 3 grandchildren Reba, Travis and Carson Lee.

He is also survived by I sister Mary Ann Misar and her husband Robert of Sioux Falls and countless friends. Mass of the Resurrection will be Wednesday. May 29th 10:00 A.M. at St. loseph Cathedral.

Visitation will begin Tuesday 4:00 with a Scripture Vigil at 8:00 at Barnett-Levvis Funeral Home. Interment will be at Riverview Cemetery in Centerville, SD. Ruth Lee, daughter of Walter and Elsie (Couch) Lee, was born an. 1, 1919 in Nashville, TN. She grew up and graduated from high school there. She then worked at an Enamel Ware Plant, at U.S. Tobacco making snuffboxes, and in the office of a telephone company.

Ruth married Arthur G. Stoner on March 1943. Survivors includes children, Elsie Stoner, Long Beach, CA, Gary (Linda) Stoner, Chandler, MN, Glen Stoner, Cudahy, CA, Raymond (Julie) Stoner, Fort Myers, FL, Roddy (lulia) Stoner, Milwaukee, Wl; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur; a son David; her parents; two brothers, Ernest Lee, Raymond Lee; and a sister, Peggy Cole.
